Linguas de Gato
Doesn't that sound appetizing? I'm eating some right now, delicious. Cat Tongue Cookies. Or at least they're supposed to look like cat tongues. I'm sceptical about the actual resemblance had by these little biscuit-like human cat-anatomy-shaped treats. And on the bag are three cartoon cats, presumably tongueless ones. Their names are Tobias, Malaquias, and Jeremias. I have no idea where the trio is supposed to be from, and even less idea where the bag of cookies came from, but that doesn't keep me from enjoying them. I do know the person who sent said cookies in a care package marked "Detweiler & Crew", I mean I met her a few years ago. I suppose they are more my sister's cookies than mine since they're from her friend and all, but I seem to be more enamored with them, so perhaps the cookies would prefer to be eaten by one such as myself. I think so.

I was looking for "Linguas de Gato" recipies on Google and I found myself on this post of yours.
Don't know if you're still interested to know where the "Linguas de Gato" are from... I'm almost sure they're from Portugal. I've been there a couple of weeks ago and brought a couple of bags with me. :-)

Hi, Yes you're correct Luis. The "Linguas de Gato" are from Portugal. I wish I could find them here in the United States. They're delicious.
Any Portuguese markets in the Ironbound section of Newark, NJ will sell them.
Here you have the recipe:
Ingredients:
125 g sugar
120 g all purpose-flour
120 g butter
3 egg whites and a little vanilla.
Preparation:
Knead the butter with a spatula, mix sugar and egg whites (one by one).
Add flour, pouring the batter into a syringe or a pastry bag fitted with the flat end of 1cm in diameter.
Place small strips of about 6 to 8 cm long on a baking tray greased with butter and sprinkled with flour.
Bake.
